Am feeling better this morning; weather gloomy; chilly south
wind; considerable cannonading to-day towards Madison Court House; reported
General Kilpatrick has captured a portion of Lee's picket line and penetrated
to Orange Court House; pickets ordered to be vigilant, etc.
